Shashank Sethi is a budding computer science engineer with a strong analytical and problem-solving skill set. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at UnitedHealth Group, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications. Shashank has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. Shashank has experience working as a Summer Intern at UnitedHealth, where he evaluated an open-source framework called Membrane Service Proxy as a potential alternative API gateway. He secured ReSTful web services using OAuth2 implementation that Membrane provides and incorporated missing features into the Membrane Service Proxy by building external plugins for it. These features included WS Security mechanisms to apply security to SOAP-based web services, namely UsernameToken Authentication and SAML Token Authentication. The plugins were written in Java, and open-source frameworks such as Spring, Apache CXF, etc. were used. Shashank also worked as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Mandi, where he guided students with their Data Structures lab work, code debugging, and helped them grasp the fundamentals of Data Structures in C and programming, in general. Shashank's technical skills include Java, Spring, Web, Javascript, Research Scientist, SQL, Elastic Search, AI, PHP, Search, and UI. He has relevant experience of 4.86 years, and he is seeking full-time employment opportunities to utilize his skills and grow professionally.
