Shashank Sharma is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer currently working at Microsoft Azure. With over 11 years of relevant experience, he has a deep understanding of deployment technologies such as AutoPilot and PilotFish. Shashank's current role involves working in Azure Compute Group, where he has also worked in Azure SDN (Software Defined Networking) - VNet (Virtual Network). Prior to his current role, Shashank worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer in the Networking team (Domain Name Service - DNS) of Windows Server group. During his tenure, he was part of many product release cycles targeting enterprise and cloud platforms. Shashank's main responsibilities included designing and developing various critical features of Windows DNS service using C, C++, ETW, and RPC. He also developed a test framework to test distributed DNS deployment, simulating real-world scenarios using C#, PowerShell, and scripting. Shashank's experience at Microsoft also involved designing and implementing the entire architecture of Perf/Stress/LongHaul test framework for DNS service on high 300k QPS (query per sec). He was part of many large-scale projects across Windows and Azure, which involved deep collaboration among various teams and sub-teams. Before joining Microsoft, Shashank worked as a Summer Intern at Bravo Lucy As, an Image Processing Start-Up. He worked on a project called "Human Detection in Surveillance Videos using Computer Vision state of the art techniques." Shashank holds a B.Tech (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). He has a diverse tech stack, including Software Engineering, Azure, Test, Computer Vision, and Image Processing. Shashank has a proven track record of delivering high-quality work and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
