Shashank Singh is an experienced software engineer with a passion for backend development. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Flipkart in the Customer Experience team, he has over 8 years of relevant experience in the field. His expertise lies in using Java 8 with Spring family frameworks for dependency injection, database persistence, API documentation, and web services. He is also experienced in Spring-data with Hibernate, Spring-Data-Rest with Angular 2, Swagger, MQs, Shell scripting, SQL, and UMLs. Shashank has a proven track record of designing and coding systems from scratch, as part of the core team. He has been a key player in writing intrinsic components and involved in architectural discussions. He has implemented distributed caching (Hazelcast), DB performance improvements, and other performance improvements at the API level. He has also been involved in POC India team which involves explaining design and code of newer projects. Prior to Flipkart, Shashank has worked with companies like Morgan Stanley and General Electric. At Morgan Stanley, he designed and coded systems in the domain of electronic trading and healthcare from scratch. He was also involved in implementing newer technologies and improving the overall architecture of the system. At General Electric, he worked on understanding the current architecture of fixed and mobile GE X-Ray machines, bringing improvements in newer architectures while implementing new features, and solving site issues occurring in already released and functioning systems. Shashank holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, where he studied algorithms, parallel computing, and database.
