Shashank Singhania is a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer with a passion for machine learning and artificial intelligence. He is currently an undergraduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology majoring in Computer Science. Shashank has gained exposure to new cultures and diverse groups of people through his international student status and studying abroad in China. He is always open to new ideas and committed to life-long learning. Shashank is the founder and leader of UCARE, a non-profit organization with chapters in countries including India, Nigeria, Uganda, UAE, and the US. Collaborating and working in this organization, alongside people from all across the globe, has inculcated within him the true value of inclusion. Giving back to the community is important to him. Shashank has a strong passion for developing software applications that can make an impact in the real world by helping real people. He has developed a script that instantaneously registers him to all his classes on time and built a start-up that helps students build vocabulary. Shashank's love to explore how new applications can be integrated into the real world is what defines him as a programmer. Shashank has worked as an Engineering Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he re-architected the six most used API endpoints, with total API traffic exceeding 500,000 calls per month from existing virtual machines to a native serverless architecture. He coded all technology migrations in Terraform and OpenAPI Spec (Infrastructure as Code) to ensure code reusability for AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, Security groups, and VPCs. Shashank has also worked as a Co-Founder and Technical Product Manager at Voc-AB, a vocabulary-building app that helps students learn vocabulary in a fun yet effective manner. He engineered a mobile app for iOS and Android from scratch using React Native, JavaScript (full-stack). He supervised a team of 5 developers, implementing Agile methodologies for effective teamwork and project completion. Shashank's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a High School Diploma in STEM from St. Xavier's Collegiate School.
