Shashi Suman is a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Swift, Reinforcement Learning, and SQL. Currently working at Swift Medical, Shashi graduated from Queen's University in November 2021 with a Master's degree in Applied Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. During his time at Queen's, Shashi was a research student, where he explored the possibilities of RL modelled smart homes exploiting the human model in full and partially observable environments. He also researched human decision-making models using Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning for single and multi-human models within an environment. His work has been published in AAAI 21-AI for Behavior Change and IEEE Transactions of Artificial Intelligence. Prior to his Masters, Shashi worked as a Data Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, where he developed and maintained graphs and pipelines using Ab-Initio, SQL, Unix, and VB Script. He also worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Queen's University. As a Research Assistant, he explored the recognition of occupants using thermal data for different activities using Bayesian Reinforcement Learning and Long-Short Term Memory in a partial-observable environment. As a Teaching Assistant, he marked assignments and provided lab support to students for solving issues related to MOSFETS, PNP-NPN transistor circuits, and marked their VHDL/ Verilog codes. Shashi's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from JECRC University, and a Grade 12 and Grade 10 degree from St. Michael's High School in India.
