Shashin Thakur is a seasoned engineering leader with over 19 years of experience in building and delivering strategic products for small startups to big brands. He is customer-obsessed and has a passion for making people's lives easier through innovative solutions. Currently, Shashin is a senior technical program manager at Cyberoam, managing and executing complex cross-functional projects across the Indian consumer business. Shashin has played multiple roles in organizations and has contributed to annual planning, program development, managed global stakeholders, defined engineering processes, and drove public beta programs for early adoption. He has also successfully built a distributed engineering team, created a collaborative, fun, and rewarding culture, and helped them grow to the next level by building multi-year roadmaps and charters for the team. As an agile practitioner and tech-savvy leader, Shashin keeps himself up-to-date with upcoming technology and domains. He is well-versed in cloud computing (AWS and Azure), software security (CEH certified), virtualization, SDN, retail, programming languages (C++, Java, Python), dockers, database, and agile & waterfall development. Before joining Cyberoam, Shashin worked as a senior technical program manager at Amazon, where he led complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. He also worked as a senior technical lead at McAfee, where he worked with senior leadership to highlight updates, status, KPIs, and features and roadmap for upcoming launches. Shashin holds a Master of Science degree in computer application and information technology from Gujarat University and a Master of Science degree from AGES Ahmedabad.
