Shashwat Chawla is a robotics engineer with a passion for SLAM, computer vision, and human-robot collaboration. He is currently working as a Robotics Firmware Engineer at Peer Robotics, where he is responsible for the architecture, development, testing, and production of algorithms for robot environment sensing and mapping. Shashwat is also working on enhancing SLAM algorithms and optimizing ROS-based systems with a focus on system diagnostics and hardware control. Prior to his current role, Shashwat was a founding member of Peer Robotics, an early-stage collaborative mobile robotics company. He also worked as a research intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where he contributed to the development of an industrial collaborative mobile robot capable of navigating autonomously in any indoor environment with features like human-robot interaction. Shashwat holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Thapar University, where he gained a deep understanding of computer vision, testing, and integration. He also has experience in mobile development and research, making him a well-rounded engineer. With 2.86 years of relevant experience, Shashwat is skilled in computer vision, testing, senior software engineering, mobile development, research science, and integration. He is passionate about using his knowledge and skills to develop innovative solutions in the field of robotics and is always eager to learn and grow.
