Shashwat DC is an experienced editor with two decades of experience in media and a background in creative writing, ideation, editing, and directing projects for digital and print platforms. He is currently working as a Content & Brand Consultant on a variety of projects and is the Editor & Founder of Sustainabilityzero.com, a portal dedicated to sustainability, CSR, environment & social development issues in India. Shashwat is also employed with the Centre for Research, Azim Premji University, looking after the communications and media management. In the past, Shashwat has been associated with Network18 as Features Editor for Digital Projects, across portals like Moneycontrol, Firstpost, and ForbesIndia. He was the editorial lead for Digital Focus Projects, creating content and engagement strategies for some of the biggest native content projects in India spanning across different business verticals. Shashwat has created and launched two magazines in the past, Sustainuance (India's first corporate sustainability magazine) and IT Next (India's first magazine for IT Managers and professionals). His past editorial stints include Dataquest (India's oldest IT magazine), Financial Express Newspaper, Free Press Journal Newspaper, Nazara.com, and others. Shashwat is a speaker/moderator at numerous conferences on IT & sustainability. He loves to engage students and employees through lectures and workshops on issues related to conservation and sustainability. Besides journalism and content, he is interested in history, especially numismatics (the study of coins) and mythology. He is also an avid collector and reader of old Indian comics like Indrajal & Amar Chitra Katha. Shashwat's specialties include editorial, news, branded content, technology & IT, sustainability, CSR, green IT, environment, sustainable development, conservation, green business, media events, corporate communications, and content strategy. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Comparative Mythology from the University of Mumbai, an M.A. in Numismatics & Archaeology from the Dinesh Mody Institute for Numismatics and Archaeology, and a Certificate course in Archaeology from the University of Mumbai. He also has an M.A. in English Literature and a PG Diploma in Advertising & PR from K.C. College. Shashwat is a Research Scientist with 13.60 years of relevant experience.
