Shatabdi Sen is a highly motivated Ph.D. student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, currently working as a Research Assistant at USDA. She has a strong background in research and software engineering, having previously worked as a Research Assistant at Iowa State University and an Associate Software Engineer at IQVIA. At IQVIA, Shatabdi worked on collating and analyzing real-world data on diseases, drug-safety, pharmaco-epidemiology, and other patient-level data to provide valuable insights about patient population stratification, clinical trial optimization, and drug repurposing and repositioning. She was involved in predictive analytics, data analysis, data management, and data visualization projects. She constructed dashboards to project forecasts and insights through data analysis using business intelligence tools and cleansed and transformed raw data to meet project requirements using Python, SQL server management studio, PowerBI, Tableau, Cubeware, R, and Excel. Shatabdi also redesigned mobile applications to improve the performance/loading time of the dashboards. Shatabdi has a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from VIT and a High School Diploma from Sri Chaitanya College of Education. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Iowa State University - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, which she expects to complete in 2023. Shatabdi's technical skills include research scientist, software engineer, SQL, Python, and mobile. She has 2.28 years of relevant experience in the field of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Shatabdi is a detail-oriented and analytical individual who is passionate about using her skills to make a positive impact in the field of healthcare.
