Shaun Dougherty is a versatile software engineer with a strong background in cloud development using Kubernetes and DevOps tools provided by AWS and Azure. He is a recently Certified Kubernetes Application Developer and currently works as a software developer at accuro Solutions. Shaun has the ability to work independently, cooperatively, or lead a small group to attain success. He has a proven talent to combine his education and past experience to exceed goals. Shaun has experience in Node frameworks, Java, Spring Boot, Swift, Linux, and SQL. He is formally trained in design theory within customer-facing applications and has taken business-focused development classes on getting software in customers' hands. He currently works as a software engineer at accuro solutions where he created and exposed APIs in a Spring Boot application for a medical bill review application. He deployed the bill review application on a Kubernetes cluster hosted in Amazon's EKS environment while exposing the application with an Elastic Load Balancer. Shaun maintained a pipeline to push and deploy new images after changes are merged into development and master branches using Azure DevOps tools. He also leveraged Azure OCR tools to extract data from scanned medical documents. Shaun's past experiences include working as the Director of Technology at Mehta Prep Academy where he created a Python backend and REST API for iOS and Android apps. He also maintained the company's Squarespace website and other IT tasks like company email and Slack. Shaun worked as an iOS Intern at Cybx Security where he learned about encryption and cryptography in a mobile development focus. He worked with BLE devices to send and parse data and led iOS development for a secure messaging service, Quantum Nerve. Shaun holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science and Technology from Penn State University.
