Shaz Akhtar is a Senior Software Engineer at Airtel X Labs with almost 4 years of relevant experience. He is a competitive coder and a quick learner who always looks for the most optimized and efficient approach to solve a problem. Shaz has worked on core product web app development using Java and Angular framework ensuring high performance and optimization. He has also made several technical decisions in improving existing Angular projects. Currently, Shaz is working as a Teaching Assistant (Competitive Coding) at Coding Ninjas where he helps students of Competitive Programming Course in taking doubt sessions, debugging code, guiding them in completing their assignments, and teaching them some algorithms as well. In the past, Shaz has worked at Newgen as a Software Design Engineer and Senior Software Design Engineer - 2. At Newgen, he was a part of the web development team and was responsible for revamping the UI of an enterprise web product built on old JSP technology into new Angular-based technology and JavaBeans to deal with JSON data format. He also wrote upgrade scripts to convert XML data to JSON format when users updated their system from an older version to make the product backward compatible. Shaz also led the approach of the design part and several initiatives to make the enterprise web product (OmniDocs) WCAG compliant so that the product can be used by users having several disabilities with ease and with standard screen readers. Shaz holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Jamia Millia Islamia, where he studied from 2015 to 2019. He has a strong tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Web, AngularJS, Spring, Java, Javascript, Typescript, Spring Boot, Microservices, UI, Frontend, MySQL, and Backend.
