Shehjar Tikoo is a highly experienced Product Director with a rare combination of deep software engineering, design and strategy experience gained through hands-on work and management of these functions. With over 16 years of experience, Shehjar has addressed problems for small businesses, mid-market as well as the enterprise segment in domains such as Fin-tech & accounting, cloud computing, information security, web authoring tools, and e-commerce enablers. She has experience with pure SaaS models as well as on-prem and hybrid solutions, in companies ranging from a 3-person no-product startup to a large public-listed company. Shehjar has demonstrated an ability to self-start, ramp up quickly in new domains, acquire deep understanding of customers, the market, and competition. She has a track record of working autonomously and collaborating with international stakeholders to drive products, strategy, and practices forward. She has created innovative solutions by combining her knowledge of strategy and experience design, product execution, development of teams, and culture. Currently, Shehjar is the Director of Product Management at Airbase, where she leads a team of Product Managers in Canada, the Philippines, and India. She is responsible for two products, Accounting and Approvals, designed for CFOs. Airbase is a spend management solution that integrates accounting & approval workflows with payment methods (like cards, bank payments, checks) into a single product. Shehjar has led product launches, sales collaboration, product strategy, and design outcomes & strategy. She has also hired product directors, principal/senior PMs, and PMs, and set up product work practices and team structure & interfaces. Before joining Airbase, Shehjar worked at Endurance International Group as a Group Product Manager and Senior Product Manager. She led three products, Retail Experience, Customer Service Platform, and In-house data platform, and was responsible for hiring and setting up a team of designers and product managers. Shehjar has a Master of Computing and IT from UNSW and a Bachelor of Computer Application from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. She is currently pursuing LEAD Advanced Management Programme from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
