Shekhar Singh is a highly experienced polyglot software engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience in solving business problems with Tech & Data. Currently, he works as an Engineering at Rippling, where he focuses on Tech, Data, and Architecture of large-scale distributed systems. Shekhar is passionate about architecting and building services that run independently but are integrated together to bring out certain output, making him a huge advocate of microservices, event sourcing, and big data. Throughout his career, Shekhar has worked on building the core APIs to big data pipelines to machine learning models from scratch. He has a strong focus on writing clean code, tests, and continuous delivery while ensuring everything is fully automated and monitored. Shekhar loves working with teams, as well as mentoring and leading them. He also works closely with business, product managers, and stakeholders, and tries to solve problems with a tech solution or convert them to a data problem accordingly. Shekhar's past experiences include leading Full Stack Developer at Webarch and Research Intern at CDAC, where he worked on an individual research project on "Accelerating Map-Reduce using Distributed Cache as Middleware with Partial Pre-shuffling and Securing Memcached server." Currently, he is the Head of Data Engineering and Board Member at SRM Search Engine, which is funded by National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI). The company aims to create an India-centric search engine with clustered results, an advanced knowledge base, and a unique UI. Shekhar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from SRM University and has completed a Research Internship from Technische Universität Hamburg. He has a diverse tech stack, including Senior Software Engineer, Big Data, ML, Software Engineer, Microservices, Terraform, Apache Airflow, Java, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Backend.
