Shelley Vohr is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over 4 years of relevant experience. She has an impressive track record of improving and maintaining Electron for over 100 million desktops that rely on it as part of their favorite suite of applications. As the Chair of the Releases Working Group, Shelley ensured that Electron releases were published on time and built automation tooling to streamline the process. She also led the establishment of the API Working Group, which streamlined changes to Electron's API surface and originated the API review process and spec format. Shelley is a top contributor to the core Electron repository since August 2017, with over 750 substantive merged and shipped pull requests. She has also upstreamed changes and fixes to Google’s Chromium, BoringSSL and V8, and The Linux Foundation’s Node.js project. In her previous role as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft, Shelley honed her skills in NodeJS and Javascript. She was also a Technical Steering Committee Member at Node.js, where she managed code and documentation creation and changes for the listed projects and resources, set and maintained standards covering contributions of code, documentation, and other materials, and made decisions regarding dependencies of the Node.js Core project. Shelley holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.S.) in Computer Science with a minor in Psychology from Duke University, where she graduated in 2018.
