Shikhar Malhotra is an experienced Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, with over 3 years of industry experience in designing, implementing, scaling, and maintaining software products that solve challenging problems. He graduated with an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017, where he pursued a summer internship in the Pricing Systems - Comp Match team at Amazon. During his internship, he developed applications to control influx of price recommendations into manual audit queue by understanding high risk drivers and mining historical data. Prior to his current role at Amazon, Shikhar worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Informatica in Bangalore, India, where he implemented critical features in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Cloud Connector. He was also a Research Scholar at IIT-Delhi, where he worked in the area of Data Warehousing and Data Mining. Both these internships significantly boosted his skills as a team player and individual contributor. At Amazon, Shikhar is currently part of the AWS Insights and Enterprise Tools team, building a new AWS offering for Enterprise customers. He has previously worked on the Alexa AI-Machine Learning Platform team as a Software Development Engineer II.
