Shikhar Shrestha is a CEO and co-founder of Ambient.ai, a stealth AI company headquartered in Palo Alto. He is a Stanford alum who has previously worked at Apple and Google. Shikhar's passion lies in enabling intelligent environments that are safe, efficient, and sustainable. His company's breakthrough technology integrates cutting-edge deep learning with a contextual knowledge model to provide agents with human-like perception abilities. Ambient.ai's flagship product has been deployed by multiple Fortune 100 companies to solve mission-critical problems in ways that were never possible before. Shikhar has 8.69 years of relevant experience in AI and deep learning. He has worked as a research scientist and lead systems engineer at Stanford Computational Imaging Lab (SCI), where he developed the world's first reconfigurable time-of-flight camera array. This array unlocks entirely new imaging modalities, such as imaging through dense scattering media and non-line-of-sight motion detection, in addition to achieving significant improvements in depth imaging and Doppler velocity imaging. He has also worked at Google as a systems engineer for Tango/Daydream, where he led systems engineering efforts for upcoming products and Tango-enabled hardware platforms. He established several new vendor relationships and led the development of a novel robotic Tango factory calibration system with drastically improved performance characteristics. Shikhar holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (Smart Imaging Systems) and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics and Robotics) from Stanford University. He also completed a Venture Studio Resident program in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a program in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Y Combinator. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar.
