Shilpa Gite is a seasoned cloud security professional with over 8 years of experience in the industry. She is currently the Manager of Cloud Security Compliance at Qualys, where she leads a team of developers to ensure the security and compliance posture across various cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle. Apart from her current role, Shilpa has also worked as a Software Engineer at Symantec, where she was responsible for feature development and internal defect fixing for major releases of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP). She has worked on feature development for IPv6 support and internal defects, investigating the cause of defects and providing resolutions. Shilpa has also worked as an intern at Symantec, where she worked on the VxArray project, a tool to emulate variable numbers of SCSI disks and export them using target mode HBA on the FC/iSCSI or local mode. Shilpa holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science, both from Fergusson College.
