Shilpi Mitra is an accomplished Engineering Leader at Microsoft Azure SQL with over 14 years of experience designing and developing scalable, secure, and resilient applications. She has development experience on Java-based Microservices and deployments with Docker and Kubernetes on various cloud platforms like Azure and AWS. Shilpi is also experienced in leading and mentoring high-performing teams and working with stakeholders across multiple Geos. Shilpi is a fast learner, proven mentor, and team player. She has significant experience in the development and deployment of on-prem and cloud solutions. Currently, she is leading the Workspace One Cloud team and driving towards the SaaS journey at EUC, VMware. She is also a certified Scrum Master and has 3+ years of experience as a "Security Czar" for ColdFusion at Adobe Systems. Apart from her technical expertise, Shilpi is a Diversity & Inclusion evangelist. She believes in creating a work environment that is inclusive and diverse. Shilpi has worked with Adobe's CSR group and employee activity club and has been a CSR Champion. Shilpi has worked with companies like GlobalLogic and Adobe in the past. At GlobalLogic, she handled Requirement Analysis, Design & Development, Functional Testing, and Client communication for TravelGuru and Skyfire. At Adobe, she worked towards new challenges and contributed to one of the great application servers - ColdFusion. She was responsible for Market Research, Design, Development, Evangelism, Customer Communication, and developed new features for ColdFusion using Java, Spring, Hibernate. Shilpi has a BE(Hons) degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science and an Executive Education Program, Project & Portfolio Management (P3M) degree from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. She also has a Senior Secondary degree from S.D. Girls Sr. Sec. School. Shilpi's tech stack includes SQL, Senior Software Engineer, Azure, AWS, Java, Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices, and Web.
