Shilun Ding is a highly skilled Software Engineer with 3.79 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently, he is working as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where he is managing and building the course infrastructure for 15619 - Cloud Computing. He is also responsible for QA of course projects and participating in teaching students. Prior to this, Shilun has worked with Google as a Software Engineer and Software Engineer Intern. During his tenure with the company, he was a part of the Spanner team, where he mastered the art of breaking things. He also built a load test framework/micro benchmark for Google's load balancing system, which helped in building fake resources/workload for load balancers and gave feedback and measurement for the load balancer. Shilun holds a Master of Science degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, where he completed his studies in 2019. He also has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University, where he completed his studies in 2017.
