Shipra Upadhyay is a highly skilled Programme Specialist with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, she is associated with Jal Bhagirathi Foundation in a leadership role. In her current position, Shipra is responsible for overseeing the implementation of various programs and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable and equitable access to water resources in rural areas. She is also involved in designing and executing strategies to enhance the organization's impact and reach. Prior to her current role, Shipra has worked with reputed organizations such as International Resources for Fairer Trade and Afghanistan Institute for Civil Society (AICS) in various capacities. As a Programme Manager at International Resources for Fairer Trade, she provided community business support and managed various projects aimed at promoting fair trade practices. At AICS, she served as Director - Certifications and was responsible for developing and implementing certification programs for civil society organizations in Afghanistan. Shipra has a strong educational background with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at London University and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Environmental Economics from Annamalai University. She also holds an MBA from Aravali Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from Jai Narain Vyas University. Shipra has also completed her Higher Secondary education from S.M.S, Jodhpur and Secondary education from St. Patricks Vidya Bhawan. Shipra possesses a diverse skill set and is well-versed in Java, SQL, Microservices, AWS, Spring Boot, Spring, and other relevant technologies. She has a strong background in software engineering and has worked extensively in the backend development of web applications.
