Shirya Kaul is a detail-oriented and proactive Data & Analytics Consultant with a passion for analyzing data and discovering patterns within it. With a Master's degree in Information Technology, majoring in Data Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Shirya has a strong educational background. She has 2.68 years of relevant experience, having worked as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer and a Technical Business Analyst. In her current role as a Project Officer at Queensland University of Technology, Shirya specializes in developing utilization reports for the education industry using major software platforms like Power BI and Tableau. She generates visually appealing and interactive data visualizations that drive action within the university, maintains and enhances existing reports and dashboards based on university requirements, and liaises with external teams and university staff to identify and document detailed system requirements. Shirya also utilizes MS SQL, Power BI, and other dashboard/visualization toolsets for data intelligence and analysis, performs system testing, and assists faculty users with user acceptance testing. In her previous role as a Data and Analytics Consultant at Ernst & Young DnA, Shirya had hands-on experience with POSTMAN for API testing across multiple environments, developed and maintained test scripts in RStudio and Jira, and analyzed bugs and interacted with the development team in order to fix defects and keep track of defects in defect suites. She also analyzed client’s business requirements and processes through Python scripts and document analysis, maintained liaison between stakeholders and developers to ensure a mutual understanding of processes, requirements, and applications, and facilitated monthly meetings with clients to document requirements and explore potential solutions. Shirya's tech stack includes test, QA, SQL, Selenium, Python, Java, web, and backend. She has also developed parsers/web scrappers to read unstructured data and identified and recommended new ways for efficient operations and cost-saving. Shirya has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and she works well with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements for regulatory reporting, trade surveillance, and management reporting.
