Shishir Bhargav is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 10 years of industry experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting software applications. He holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Utah and is proficient in distributed systems and building highly scalable, available, and performant microservices. Shishir is known for his expertise in Java, Spring, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, Algorithms, and RESTful APIs. Currently, Shishir is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, where he collaborates with multiple stakeholders to design and develop APIs for a Unified Ticketing Platform. He has also designed and developed features for Ticketing Gateway Service to route, authenticate, and authorize incoming requests. Shishir has led a team of 4 engineers to deliver Feedback Service that helps customers provide feedback about OCI services. He has designed multiple Taxonomy and Routing features to direct technical support requests to the right team. Shishir has also led the effort to identify gaps to automate new region build and improve service bootstrap processes. He has implemented Orchestration library to simplify console initialization and improved console performance. Shishir has improved the performance of the console plugin translation pipeline that handles millions of strings in 29 languages. Previously, Shishir worked as a Software Engineer at Storagecraft Technology Corp. where he worked on the "StorageCraft Cloud Backup" service to backup and restore enterprise Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite data using Amazon S3 or Microsoft Azure as a storage endpoint. He has also designed and developed the user interface for the enterprise web application using MVC framework. Shishir has added additional functionalities by designing and developing new REST APIs. He has provided cost-effective storage by redesigning Cloud Backup to support Microsoft Azure as the storage endpoint. Shishir has designed and developed Cloud Management Portal for support team and Cloud Ops to configure and monitor customer accounts. Shishir's educational background includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Utah and a Bachelor's degree in Information Science and Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering.
