Shiv Gupta is a Software Developer III at Tower Research Capital, currently on Garden Leave. He has a Master of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut. He also attended Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya for his secondary education. Shiv has 4.53 years of relevant experience in the field of Software Engineering and Research Science. He previously worked as a Senior Associate at Morgan Stanley, where he was a part of the Client e-Trading and Real-time Application team. He worked with C# and designed, discussed, and refactored vital modules with multiple edge cases. He also improved and fixed some modules in review cycles, learning a lot in the process. Shiv is passionate about algorithm design for Dynamic and Fault-tolerant Graph problems and has worked on Approximation Algorithms and Number Theory. He enjoys solving puzzles and playing chess in his spare time. Additionally, Shiv has been a Campus Ambassador for HackerEarth, where he hosts programming contests and inspires newcomers to become genuine thinkers. The programming questions he sets cover almost all aspects like Operating Systems, DBMS, Networking, Mathematics, etc., to produce not just a bunch of coding guys but genuine thinkers.
