Shiv Kandikuppa is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience. Currently working at Google, he has a strong background in designing and implementing solutions to complex problems. Shiv has a Master's degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from IIIT Delhi. Prior to joining Google, Shiv worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, where he designed and implemented a visualization dashboard for spatiotemporal analysis of e-scooters and bike data. He also created a scalable data ingestion pipeline using Kafka to scrape data from public API endpoints and built the frontend visualization using ReactJS. Shiv has experience in setting up system infrastructure for Zookeeper, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Django, and React web apps using Docker containers on AWS. Shiv has also worked as a Software Development Intern at Visa, where he designed and implemented a solution to horizontally scale out Device Messaging Batch for Apple Pay Services. He conducted a PoC and set up the service on Docker containers for enhanced scalability. Shiv has a strong tech stack, including expertise in Kafka, AWS, Docker, Django, and ReactJS.
