Shiv Shetty is a Consulting Manager at Informatica, a leader in enterprise cloud data management. With expertise in the Informatica Data Management Stack, including Enterprise Data Catalog, AXON, Data Quality, Data Engineering Integration, and Informatica Cloud, Shiv has over 7 years of relevant experience in the field of data engineering. Currently working for Informatica professional services, Shiv is proud to be part of the company's super cool culture and its aggressive push towards Cloud Next and Cloud Native initiatives. Informatica has over 5,000 customers in more than 100 countries, and 84 of the Fortune 100 rely on its solutions to drive data-led digital transformation. Shiv's past experiences include working as a Senior Data Engineer for Maersk, where he was part of the company's Digital Transformation from its inception in Bangalore. He worked on a Data Lake Ingestion project using the Hadoop stack, including Informatica BDM, Sqoop, Hive, Spark, and Azure services. Shiv's best experience at Maersk was when he was onsite deputed to the company headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, for a challenging project deliverable involving parsing unstructured data files, creating data models, and ingesting them into Hadoop for critical business reporting. Before joining Informatica, Shiv worked as a Consultant Technology for Deloitte, where he was part of a core Data Warehousing development project involving critical file and report delivery to United States government stakeholders. He extensively worked on Informatica ETL and Teradata, which helped him to take a firm grip on the heritage Informatica Power Center solution. Shiv holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. He also holds an SSC degree from Symbiosis. Shiv has a strong tech stack that includes Data Engineering, Hadoop, Integration, Spark, Azure, Apache Hive, and ETL.
