Shiva Shankar Anumula is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Salesforce, with over 15 years of experience in building and delivering highly reliable, large-scale distributed business solutions across domains like CRM and Healthcare. He is a relentless problem solver with strong analytical and technical skills, and a passionate, organized, creative, and critical thinker. Shiva is result-oriented, self-driven, and an effective hands-on architect who consistently displays the ability to define architectural blueprints and roadmaps by working closely with Product Management. Currently, Shiva is part of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud messaging platform, primarily working on the email engagement channel. He supports massive scale, with about 5 billion emails sent per day during holiday seasons in a calendar year. He had an opportunity to redesign such an email delivery engine from inception in the context of public cloud transformation and Next generation Engagement 360 messaging. This is a collaborative innovation from Salesforce, HAProxy & AWS. Previously, Shiva was a Development Architect at SAP, where he exhibited leadership skills as part of the SAP Health Central Architecture team. He defined conceptual blueprints, performed feasibility studies of product requirements, communicated the architecture guidance to cross-located development teams, and mentored and supported the teams through the development phase. He was primarily accountable for SAP Health Foundation Services, a FHIR-inspired Cloud-native PaaS offering for partners and providers to build first-class healthcare industry applications. Shiva has also worked as an Associate Architect at SAP, where he was responsible for designing, developing, and delivering CRM server groupware solutions together with a team of passionate 15 developers. He contributed to the successful adaptation of the solution to 100+ SAP CRM customers. He also led a team of 8-10 passionate developers to build and deliver data integration solutions for both structured and unstructured data from a variety of healthcare systems for deep dive analytics. Shiva holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from BITS, Pilani, in Chemical Engineering. He is proficient in various technologies such as Salesforce, AWS, Java, C, and product management. With over 16 years of relevant experience, Shiva is a valuable asset to any team looking to build and deliver highly reliable, large-scale distributed business solutions.
