Shiva Kumar is an experienced software engineer with over 13 years of experience in the IT industry. He has worked for big companies in the telecom and banking sectors and has extensive experience in Java, J2EE, various Spring modules, and Hibernate. He has been involved in analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deploying projects, and has worked on performance, scale testing, and performance tuning. Shiva is a quick and self-learner and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies. He has recently worked on AWS, MongoDB, Spring Boot, and Spring REST while working on a freelancing project, which helped him to learn and work on AWS cloud and NoSQL database. Although he has not had the opportunity to work on real-time or near real-time applications, he has a great understanding of application scaling and design principles. Currently, Shiva is working as a Staff Software Applications Engineer for Extreme Networks. In his previous roles, he worked as a Technology Specialist for Synechron and as an Application Dev Principle Consultant for NTT Data GDS Ltd. He managed a team of two people and was responsible for onboarding them, tracking the tasks assigned to them, checking the progress, and assisting when required. He has also contributed to consuming new REST web services, creating new EMS consumer processes for feature enhancements, and participated in code reviews. Shiva completed his Bachelor's of Engineering in Computer Science from Dayananda Sagar University in 2008. He also holds a Diploma in Computer Science from SVVS Polytechnic and completed his schooling from ZP High School.
