Shivakumar Jayaraman is a highly accomplished technical leader with over 29 years of experience in the software industry. Currently serving as the Senior Engineering Director at Zuora, he is passionate about building and leading high-performing teams to develop top-quality software. Shivakumar strongly believes in the importance of unit testing, refactoring, and writing code that is easy to maintain. He has a proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex software projects. Prior to joining Zuora, Shivakumar held various leadership positions at Cisco, including Director of Software Development. He was also the Senior Director of R&D at BroadSoft, Chennai, which was later acquired by Cisco Systems. In this role, he led the team in Chennai and was responsible for building products in the VoIP monitoring space. He also played an architect's role in other R&D projects. Shivakumar's educational background includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Statistical Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Madras. He also attended Vanavani Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Shivakumar's technical expertise includes software engineering, senior software engineering, and testing.
