Shivam Dixit is a highly skilled software engineer with over 6 years of experience in developing microservices used at large scale. He is currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, where he has built a Service Mesh offering on Oracle Cloud Platform. Shivam is an expert in back-end engineering and is passionate about designing, coding, writing tests, and transforming business specifications into software. Shivam has hands-on experience in developing Java applications with Spring Boot and is proficient in High Level and Low Level Design of applications. He is also well-versed in Event-Driven architecture and decoupling in middleware applications, Microservice-based architecture, Data Structures and Algorithms, and has worked with Apache Kafka and Avro messages. Shivam is experienced with Test Driven Design, Junit, and Mockito, and is familiar with Build systems such as Bamboo and Jenkins. He developed an application to run batch jobs to charge over a million trade positions on a daily basis, which contributed to one-third of total company revenue, and also developed an application that monitored the status of all the internal applications of the company. Shivam has also worked on migrating applications from monthly release cycles to continuous delivery after improving unit and integration test coverage, along with their database migrations using flyway scripts. Shivam holds an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
