Shivam Gupta is an Embedded Systems SDE - III at Cisco, with over 7 years of experience in complex embedded product development. He is an expert in automation, embedded C/C++, C#, IoT, ARM architecture, operating systems, RTOS, core Python, core JAVA, embedded Linux, and Atmel AVR. Shivam holds a PG-Diploma in Embedded Systems Design & Development from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). He has worked with General Electric as an Embedded Software Engineer - 2, where he developed the GE T5000 Automation System and worked on IEC 61850 & Developing PRP Driver For Windows & Linux platforms. He also worked with Faurecia as an Embedded Software Engineer, where he worked on projects for car infotainment systems, code refactoring systems for ADAS & infotainment systems, and telemetric gateway. At Cisco, Shivam is working on the development of IoT networking and security products. He is working on the world’s first IP-based low-power mesh network platform, based on open standards including IEEE80215.4g, Wi-SUN, 6Lowpan, RPL, IPv6, MPL, and CoAP. It applies to large-scale mesh networks such as BC Hydro, AMI, Demand, Lighting, etc. Shivam has expertise in Keil uvision for Embedded C/C++ Programming, S32 Design Studio, Visual Studio Incl. MSDN, IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm, Mcuxpresso, FreeRTOS, Eagle, Altium Design Studio, Espressif IDF, Code composer studio, and MATLAB. Shivam has won several awards in online contests and is passionate about solving real-world problems by designing efficient algorithms throughout his career.
