Shivam Jain is a highly motivated Software Engineer with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Currently, he is working as an SDE-2 at Walmart Sam's Club, where he is responsible for developing and implementing software solutions to solve real-life problems. Shivam has a keen interest in problem-solving and is always eager to learn about new technologies and fulfil challenging tasks. Shivam holds a Master's degree in Technology from IIIT Bangalore, where he specialized in Computer Science with a focus on AI/ML. During his internship at Walmart, Shivam worked on Bin packing algorithm in Java, which is used by Walmart to pack items inside the carton optimally. He added functionality to the existing algorithm to distribute load inside a carton and support lithium items. Shivam also built test cases for the above functionalities using Junit. In addition, he worked on predicting Safety Stock to minimize Nil-Picks, where he gathered and analyzed data to find out which parameters can be used to build a Machine Learning model that predicts safety stock. Shivam also worked on Grafana and Prometheus, where he built a dashboard in Grafana to capture application metrics insights, and Prometheus was used as a datasource to fetch data. Finally, Shivam worked on Kubernetes, where he deployed the application and checked logs. Shivam's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Technology from GD Goenka University, where he majored in Computer Science. He also holds a Master's degree in Technology from IIIT Bangalore, where he specialized in Computer Science with a focus on AI/ML.
