Shivam Jindal is a highly accomplished Software Engineer II at Uber, with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He is an Institute Gold Medalist and has gained 3.86 years of relevant experience in the field of Software Engineering, Deep Learning, ML, Research Science, Mobile, and Web. At Uber, Shivam has been working on the ‘Content Pulse’ project, which involves a comprehensive social media analysis on Twitter data, using recent machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning techniques to understand user behavior and its variation with time. His work on this project has been published in “SocInfo 2019” and introduces an improvement over state-of-the-art algorithms in the domain of Stance Classification. Shivam has also collected and analyzed more than 1TB data around political events for various experiments. Prior to Uber, Shivam worked as a Research Intern at Adobe, where he was involved in the ‘Content Pulse’ project as well. Shivam has also worked as the Chief of Mobile Development at Information Management Group, IIT Roorkee, where he provided technical solutions, tools, and resources for the enhancement of web applications and information resources.
