He also reduced API latency and handled timeout issues to increase the availability of sponsored banners on the app by 30%. He configured web sockets on the advertising platform to provide real-time bid status updates and eliminate API polling. At MetaBrainz Foundation, Shivam migrated the primary listens’ database from InfluxDB to TimescaleDB with enhanced scalability and performance. He also boosted user experience by incorporating various listen management features and revamping the UI using React/TypeScript. He optimized the Spotify importer to prevent thousands of already imported listens from going down the insertion pipeline.
