Shivam Kumar is a skilled Software Engineer with a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies. He is currently working at Microsoft as a Software Engineer, where he applies his expertise in programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python to develop both Frontend and Backend technologies, as well as Cloud Technologies. Shivam holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. He has also gained experience working with Data Structures, Algorithms, Competitive Programming, Cloud Technologies, DBMS, and Machine Learning. With a keen interest in leadership, Shivam has led his Volleyball Team to several victories by emphasizing teamwork, coordination, and getting the best out of his team. Before joining Microsoft, Shivam worked as a Software Engineer at Optum, where he was involved in automated functional testing of REST-API applications, implemented parameter-based routing for better distinction while testing with various data sources, and automated Cloud Infrastructure as a Code Scanning to locate vulnerabilities and report security fixes. He also worked on streaming data from On-premises to Cloud and vice versa to make the streams available for general availability for application teams to consume based on business requirements. During his time as a Summer Intern at Optum, Shivam built an Interactive Dashboard and integrated a machine learning model to perform risk profiling of patients and assist Nurse Practitioners in monitoring patient heart diseases based on analysis of their physiological factors. He also worked with the WellMed Team and recreated the UI for the WellMed Portal.
