Shivam Malhotra is an MBA candidate at UCLA Anderson School of Management with a focus on engineering management and technical product management. He is a highly skilled software developer and technical lead with over 5 years of experience in the field. Shivam graduated from IIT Kanpur in 2017 and has since worked at Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency trading firm, where he led a team of 7 developers in building low latency trading solutions in C++. He also provided higher-level technical guidance to the team, acted as the point of contact in India for the global trading and core engineering teams, and collaborated with global stakeholders to manage and plan different tasks and priorities for the team. Shivam is currently a founding member of broki.in, an online marketplace for buying, selling, and renting restaurants and cloud kitchens. He was primarily responsible for building and managing the web portal and collaborated with the founders to plan the launch and expansion strategy. In the last year, the platform has mediated ~25 deals with a total transaction amount of ~Rs.1 Cr (or $135k).
