Shivam Mehta is a highly skilled Backend and Android Developer with a passion for creative problem-solving. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from MNNIT, Shivam has already gained 0.44 years of relevant experience in the field. He has worked as an SDE Intern at both Zomato and Gap Inc., where he was responsible for developing and implementing effective solutions with zero tolerance for errors. At Zomato, Shivam was a part of the Rider Experience Team, where he worked on microservices architecture and was responsible for handling the Logistics Support Service requirements from design and development to production release and monitoring. He took initiatives and worked closely with the business team on automating the Rider Tickets on different issues, which helped in reducing the support cost by approximately Rs 5 lakhs per month with an increase in rider satisfaction. Shivam also introduced Fleet Coaches’ data into the Rider App from scratch, which resulted in a better weekly NPS from riders as well as reduction in ops’ team effort concerning rider-fleetcoach communication issues. He was also responsible for handling the backend for various logistics dashboards and added Pre-sign URL generation and S3 file download functionality to a common library which helped developers stay inline with the DRY principle. Shivam also reduced the traffic of monolithic architecture by migrating critical APIs to the gateway service. At Gap Inc., Shivam was a part of the Orders Management System Team, where he created a Spring Application capable of making dummy orders in the form of complete XMLs for testing use-case. The application had a user-friendly platform where developers and business people can have ready custom-made Order XMLs. Shivam's technical skills include Software Engineering, Android, Backend, Microservices, test, and Spring.
