Shivam Pandey is a Lead Engineer iOS at Airtel X Labs with almost 8 years of experience in iOS development. He is proficient in iOS, Cocoa Touch, Swift, Objective-C, React Native and TypeScript. He has hands-on experience in Unit Testing, SOLID design principle, object-oriented programming and protocol-oriented programming. Shivam has experience with Agile development methodology, continuous integration and communicating with project management to understand requirements, product features, and technical designs. Shivam is experienced in UX Design and can translate concept design into user interface on iPhone. He is also experienced with the Apple Approval Distribution Process and AdHoc Enterprise distribution. He has knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. At Airtel, Shivam is responsible for laying down the Architecture of the native and React Native code for efficient scaling of the app from 35MN MAU to 60MN MAU. He has tracked and maintained the performance metrics of the iOS App to increase the Crash-Free Rate from 99.5% to 99.85%. Shivam has also decreased the app launch time from 1.3sec to 985ms and decreased the frozen frames and slow rendering of various screens by 25% for better user experience which helped in user retention. He has increased user engagement and session duration by 60% by integrating entertainment content in the app like games, live TV, movies, TV series and music. Shivam has worked as an iOS App Developer at Pepperfry and revamped the old app and developed the app from scratch for user acquisition and better user experience which led to an increase in MAU and DAU.
