Shivam Poddar is a highly skilled and motivated MTS-3 at Nutanix with a passion for cloud computing and server-side development. He has 2.79 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering, web development, Kubernetes, image processing, and machine learning. Shivam completed his Masters of Technology in Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he worked on hypergraphs, cryptographic tools, and computer system topics. During his time at IIT Bombay, he gained expertise in various programming languages such as Python, Golang, and Shell scripting. Prior to joining Nutanix, Shivam worked as an Associate Developer at SAP Labs for 1.75 years. He played a significant role in developing and extending Kubernetes functionalities in SAP's Cloud platforms. He also worked on HANA XOLTP microservice development, a relational database service based on SAP ASE for OLTP workloads that is offered on cloud platforms as Database-as-a-service(DBaaS). Shivam added structured and comprehensive logging, unit and functional tests to ensure high code coverage, ensuring boundary conditions are checked. He also stress-tested the overall product to analyze and improve all the major components involved. Further, he fixed the vulnerabilities found. Shivam is a quick learner and always open to learning new things. He is currently learning web development via side projects using React.js, Tailwind CSS, and Node.js. He is also proficient in Docker, microservices, and various other technologies. Apart from his technical skills, Shivam is an excellent communicator and has experience in developing fruitful relationships with established MNCs, VC firms, and startups. He was a company coordinator at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he was part of a team catering to the on-campus placement of 1600+ students throughout the year. He targeted 50+ new potential recruiters globally and is currently coordinating with 30+ companies as a single point of contact.
