Shivam Sachan is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer at HSBC with a passion for machine learning techniques, data visualization, big data analytics, and statistical modeling. He is a quick learner and problem solver with acute business acumen and critical thinking skills, and he adjusts quickly in fast-paced working environments. Currently, Shivam is a Summer Intern at Hedgerow Technologies, where he has developed a model to detect odometer from dashboard using OpenCV and TensorFlow object detection API. He has also extracted mileage information from odometer by making contours using OpenCV and converted it into seamless and automatic data entry of mileage, which was previously done manually. Previously, Shivam worked as a Summer Intern at OTO Capital, where he predicted the price of used cars by using different techniques to remove outliers and resolved the issue of predicting the price of new cars coming in the market whose models and variants were not in their existing trained model. He also worked as a Data Scientist at Locus.sh, where he helped the firm save millions of dollars and increased the level of abstraction without the need to provision huge amounts of data and computing resources with the help of EDA and feature engineering. He built an anomaly detection model which takes input as the last week's data to predict the anomalies in the current day. Shivam holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and completed his High School education at Puranchandra Vidyaniketan, Kanpur. He has a diverse tech stack, including Software Engineering, JavaScript, Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, NodeJS, Python, SQL, MongoDB, and UI.
