Shivam Sharma is an ambitious and dedicated learner with a passion for developing skills as needed. He is currently a GRN Researcher at WorldQuant, a global research network that utilizes machine learning and quantitative research methods to design features and find patterns in data for better predictions about the future with low bias and variance. Shivam is responsible for experimenting, gaining insights, and learning to experiment better to improve future predictions. Shivam has prior experience as a Research Intern at the Georgia Tech Financial Services Innovation Lab, where he reviewed NLP models applicable in financial markets, applied weak supervision models to label and identify named entities, and programmed labeling functions for NER. He also worked as a Research Intern at NUS Business School, where he helped write cases by conducting research and synthesizing information using sheets and docs. He worked on synthesizing strategies that a company used for survival in bad times and for expansion in global markets. Shivam also worked on a research project on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Southeast Asia, with a special focus on healthtech, agritech, edtech, and cleantech. Shivam holds an Integrated MTech (Dual Degree) from IIT Dhanbad, where he will graduate in 2022. He also has a Senior Secondary Education degree from Khalsa College Public School, Amritsar. Shivam has a diverse tech stack that includes research scientist, ML, SQL, Python, NLP, Pandas, Scikit, Seaborn, test, product manager, data scientist, MySQL, integration, and web. He has relevant experience of 0.95 years and is always eager to learn and grow. Shivam is an avid reader, runner, and strummer, and he believes in developing skills as needed to achieve his goals.
