Shivam Singh is an aspiring software engineer currently pursuing his final year of undergraduate studies at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He possesses a deep interest in data structures, algorithms, and web development, and has a strong skill set in React, Node, and Blockchain technologies. Currently, Shivam works as a Frontend Developer at Quaffles, where he has created responsive and dynamic frontends for the Quaffles and Lively apps using React and Bootstrap. His notable accomplishments include integrating Google Maps using the Google Places API and Autocomplete widget, converting audio notes to text using Speech to Text API, and creating real-time chat screens using Web Socket API and adding infinite scroll effects using Intersection Observer API. He has also set up service workers to send notifications to users and push messages, and used background sync and cache API to create an offline-first web application. Shivam has created animations using GSAP tweens and timelines and also used Popper.js to create tooltips. Previously, Shivam worked as a Software Development Intern at Neoshows, where he played an integral role in the MVP launch of an application to build a world-class virtual live entertainment platform. He designed the entire UI for the MVP launch using ReactJS in Typescript and Sass, extensively using Material-UI components and Component API to achieve the desired and responsive web UI. He integrated all the UI developed with the backend, making Fetch API calls to GET/POST the data and used Redux along with React Hooks to manage data across various components. Shivam also implemented end-to-end Razorpay payment gateway and tested Razorpay Webhooks with temporary NodeJS Backend. He used Jest Framework to write frontend tests and Framer Motion library to create desired Animations in the UI. Besides his professional experience, Shivam has also served as the Secretary Basketball at Technology Students Gymkhana IIT Kharagpur, where he was elected by an electorate of over 12,000 students to chair the Basketball Sub-Committee. He successfully organized Inter Hostel Basketball General Championship 2019 with the participation of 22 Hostels and efficiently resolved the athletes' concerns by communicating problems and negotiating with the Gymkhana officials. He projected and efficiently managed the total budget of INR 0.25 M for the year-long activities of the Sub-Committee and initiated the first-ever Women's Basketball Workshop to increase Girls Participation and Freshers Basketball tournament.
