Shivam Singh is a senior at IIT Bombay and the Head of the Social body, Abhyuday. He has been engaged in teams with brilliant minds and has demonstrated qualities like teamwork and leadership. Shivam is skilled in negotiation, analytical skills, Microsoft Excel, and marketing skills. Currently, Shivam is the Overall Coordinator of Abhyuday, leading a hand-picked team of 18 managers and 500+ volunteers. Despite the COVID-19 enforced restrictions, he has envisioned and developed a pioneering Virtual Fest with a platform to host 20+ events and 5 competitions. He has also designed engaging events and increased team productivity by introducing online brainstorming sessions. Shivam has achieved an 81% Y-o-Y increase in registrations to the CR Program by introducing new incentives worth INR 6M and procured 50+ internships with NGOs, achieving a 200% Y-o-Y increased selections in Profectus fellowships. He has successfully migrated flagship volunteer campaigns, including career counseling, to online delivery mode. Shivam has collaborated with UNICEF India to address negative stigma around COVID-19 through an online campaign and is developing a campaign with PETA India to improve consciousness among youth regarding animal rights. He is facilitating weekly discussions on relevant social issues by revamping ‘Samwaad’, a youth discussion forum, and presenting important social issues by initiating and publishing a bi-weekly comic series with light humor. Previously, Shivam worked as a Campaign Manager at Abhyuday, where he conceptualized and executed 100+ campaigns like Career Counseling, Beach Cleanup, Food Distribution, Old Age Home Visit, and Slum Visit. He also worked as a Supply Chain Analyst Intern at Hindustan Coca-Cola, where he researched applications of the TPM Excellence Model and best practices to enable their use in logistics. Shivam holds a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and is set to graduate in December 2021. With 1.95 years of relevant experience, Shivam is a skilled leader with a passion for social initiatives and a drive to make a positive impact.
