Shivam Tiwari is an accomplished entrepreneur and startup founder with a passion for empowering companies to improve their employer branding through virtual work experiences. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a PIP in Entrepreneurial Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Before the age of 24, Shivam built India's largest campus placement platform, Apli.ai, with a reach of over 1200 colleges. He realized that the larger problem was the huge gap between the world of education and the job market, which could only be solved through a community-based exposure platform. This led him to co-found Apli.club, a third revolution in hiring, where candidates can explore different careers, gain new skills within companies virtually on their platform, and experience what it's like to work in their dream company before even applying for a job. Currently, Shivam is a member of the Express Cohort 8 at IIT Startups, one of 14 startups selected across all the IITs for the accelerator program supported by top IITians. He is also a sought-after speaker, talking to people in colleges about discovering and selecting the right career options during the day and working at night to make discovering professional career options like marketing, sales, product, VC, analytics, etc. as cool and fun as dance or singing. Shivam's past experience includes founding Apli.ai and serving as its Chief Experience Officer. He grew the platform to over 55k students, 400+ companies, and 8K+ downloads within Mumbai from 70+ colleges in just six weeks. Apli.ai was inaugurated by Mr. Bharat Desai, founder of Syntel, and was shortlisted among the top 100 startups in the Amazon Smbhav Entrepreneurship Challenge. People Matters also shortlisted Apli.ai among their top 20 early HRTech startups. Shivam's education history includes a high school degree from St. Lawrence High School, a science degree from Sathaye College - India, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. He is a young and dynamic entrepreneur with 3.10 years of relevant experience, and he is always looking for exciting new opportunities to make a difference in the world.
