Shivam Verma is a pre-final year student at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is a talented software engineer with a keen interest in object detection and deep learning. Currently, Shivam is working as an SDE Intern at Citymall, where he is gaining valuable experience in the field of software development. Before joining Citymall, Shivam interned at Dewinter Microscope as a Deep Learning Intern. During his time there, he worked on an object detection task and wrote a script that automated the data labeling task while cleaning the dataset. He also tested a few models from TFOD1, TFOD2 API, and YOLOv5. Using TFOD2 API, Shivam was able to achieve desirable results upon training for 78k epochs on the FloydHub server using V100GPU. He also wrote an output script that does post-processing on the output and finally converted the whole model into a standalone application. Shivam also interned at the National Institute of Ocean Technology as a Research Intern. During his time there, he developed a Matlab and a Python code for calculating the added mass of a submerged body in an infinite fluid based on Rankine panel method. Shivam's education history includes his ongoing studies at IIT, where he is expected to graduate in 2023. His tech stack includes software engineering, object detection, deep learning, research science, and Python.
