Shivang Baijal is an experienced data scientist and data visualization expert with almost 5 years of experience in the Data Analytics and Data Science domain. He is proficient in programming languages such as Python (2 years), R (1.5 years), and SAS (1.5 years), and has expertise in ETL tools such as SQL, Netezza, Hive, SSIS, Hadoop, and Big Data. He is also skilled in scraping using Scrapy and visualization using Tableau, Power BI, and VBA. Shivang has implemented various methodologies such as Regression, Decision Tree, KMean Clustering, Topic Modelling, NLP, SVM, and ER Modelling (Database designing) in his projects. He has worked on projects in different domains such as Marketing Analytics, Healthcare (US), Finance, Churn Modelling, Insurance, Sales, and Growth (Strategy). Currently, Shivang is working as a Data Science Intern at mymoneykarma, where he is working on Cohort Analysis using unsupervised machine learning techniques, classification of customers based on credit history and buying behavior to develop customer journey life cycle, and developing a Markov chain model to estimate probabilities of next possible states of customers based on historical data points. He has also worked on Probability distribution analysis and ETL using SQL queries, performed data wrangling tasks, and implemented the solution in a production atmosphere. In his past roles, Shivang has worked as a Data Scientist and Big Data Developer, Risk Analyst, and Data Scientist (Assistant Manager) at American Express and EXL Analytics, respectively. He has also worked as an AWS Developer, where he worked on AWS environment to implement hive-based queries on the datalake to prepare the datasets required for machine learning model training. Shivang holds a Master's degree in Data Science from Monash University, an Executive Management Programme in Strategic Innovation, Digital Marketing, and Business Analytics from the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from NSIT.
