Shivang Chauhan is a problem-solving enthusiast with a deep focus on UX, ease of doing business, product maintenance, and customer satisfaction. With over 7 years of experience in web development, he is experienced in mobile development using React Native and has handled complex applications like UI generator, chatbots, data streams, and NLP inference detector. Currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at [24]7.ai, Shivang is responsible for the VCC (Visual Card Creator) project. This application is used to provide rich, visual content to AI Chatbots through Card Designer, on the go, to enhance customer engagement and improve CSAT. He migrated the entire legacy code from jQuery, Vanilla JavaScript to React, achieving 20% faster load time, optimized, and easy to extend code through components. He also made the entire application compliant for specially-abled people using assistive technology like aria-labels and screen readers. Shivang achieved 85% UI code test coverage and automated testing using the Robot framework. He migrated to Redux and achieved user-specific requirements to onboard new clients like Walmart, Verizon, and Dish. Previously, Shivang worked as a Senior Software Engineer at GE Aviation, where he was responsible for the DTi Support project. This project involved the use of NLP-based search built upon SpaCy, through which a user can easily find a solution to a previously solved problem through intent matching. He was able to speed up the time taken by an engineer to find a solution by 90% and saved $200k through an intelligence-based search tool that previously required human presence. Shivang also worked on ViewIT, an aviation data visualizer application that provides visual representation of aviation and flight data. He created the complete architecture, enabled visualizations using Plotly.js/d3.js, and was able to save $3mn in licenses by developing an in-house tool, which replaced Spotfire (paid).
