Shivang Gupta is a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a passion for back-end development using Java. He is currently working at PhonePe as a Software Engineer and has previously worked as an SDE Intern at OYO. Shivang is a recent graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Patna where he completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science. Shivang's expertise lies in distributed systems and how they work. He has a strong knowledge of back-end development using Java and is proficient in technologies such as Elastic Search, Kafka, NLP, and MySQL. Shivang also has experience in web development using frameworks such as Spring and Django. He has worked on projects involving mobile development and deep learning using Scikit. During his time at OYO, Shivang worked on the global search team where he facilitated searching user queries regarding hotel booking and displaying hotel listing pages. He created a dashboard in Django that analyzed search analytics data and worked on adding filters to the filter page. Shivang also implemented HMD (hotel meta data service) which drove hotel metadata from supply using Kafka and stored it in Elasticsearch DB. In addition to his work experience, Shivang has also worked as a research intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna where he worked on a Celebrity Profiling project that involved the usage of Natural Language Processing, LSTM, and Glove word embeddings. Shivang is a highly motivated individual who is always eager to learn new technologies in the field of software development. He is seeking a challenging role as a Java Developer in a reputed organization where he can explore his capabilities and further develop his talent.
