Shivanshu Pandey is a Senior Software Engineer at Umlaut, with over 8 years of experience in the field of software engineering, big data, and machine learning. He is currently working with Airbus India as a Big Data Engineer, where he is researching data generated by sensors to predict when they need to be replaced. Shivanshu is using statistical and machine learning approaches, such as Kmeans clustering, Inter Quartile Range, and Grubbs outliers detection, to accurately predict the time to replace the sensors. He has also leveraged Pyspark to handle big data and speed up computation on the cloud. Shivanshu has contributed to the development of Simplified Technical English to check technical manuals for English grammar rules specified by Airbus and specific to the Aerospace industry. He has used Spacy library to achieve tokenization of sentences and understand the grammatical structure of the sentence. Shivanshu has also used Support Vector Classifier to classify machine-generated text against author-generated text. Before joining Umlaut, Shivanshu worked as a Software Developer at DraftEQ, where he developed a Health and Lifestyle website 'easyhealtyeats' in Django python framework. He also wrote automation scripts to extract data from API and manipulate the data and store them in a JSON or CSV format. Shivanshu also worked at Wipro as a Project Engineer, where he developed and analyzed multiple modules for different projects. Shivanshu holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. His technical skills include software engineering, big data, machine learning, Python, Django, HDFS, Data Engineering, Spark, Javascript, NoSQL, Hadoop, Kafka, ETL, Backend, test, and AI.
