Shivappa Hugar is a highly experienced Senior Technical Lead with over 16 years of experience in software development and LTE/4G technologies. With a strong background in E-Commerce based products, he has extensive knowledge of Order API, Purchase history, and payment method handling. Shivappa has worked with multiple PCRF vendors for development and has been involved in designing and developing PCRF features like Plan Management, Policy Management, Provisioning, Subscription, Charging, Periodic Usage, Customer Care GUI, Selfcare portal, Boosters, Carry forward, and UI and API development. He has also designed PCRF plans like Gift plan, default plan, combo plan, hidden plan, free plan, try and buy plan, location-based plan, midnight expiry plan, Shared plan, and Convergent plan. With a focus on quality of deliverables, Shivappa has worked in Agile/Scrum mode and has a good exposure to the software development life cycle. He has worked in different stages of the project, including scope discussion, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support activities. Shivappa has also worked closely with one of the African leading telecom operators, MTN, across different sites. He has a strong background in Data Charging and LTE domain and has resolved complex live-network issues related to congestion/overload, carrier-grade telecom server performance, redundancy, latency, etc. Shivappa holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Vijaya Nagar College. He also attended Karnataka State Police Residential School.
