Shivin Saluja is a highly motivated and goal-oriented Software Developer at Amazon with a passion for algorithms, data structures, machine learning, natural language processing, web development, and product development. He graduated in Computer Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Delhi University, and has over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, Shivin is working as a Software Engineer in Qualcomm, Bangalore, as part of the Bluetooth and Voice and Music group. He has led the design, development, and release of Linux-based device drivers to customers from scratch, individually solved multiple blocking issues and bugs, added multiple features across various drivers, and enhanced the throughput of the drivers by a significant amount. Additionally, he has performed regular code reviews, wrote test scripts, performed testing, and prepared documentation for the customers. Previously, Shivin worked as an Associate Software Engineer in the Linux and Windows Device Drivers team as part of the Bluetooth, Voice and Music group for 16 months. He was promoted from the position of Associate Software Engineer to Software Engineer in November 2020. He has also worked as a Policy In Action Fellow at Young Leaders for Active Citizenship, where he worked on a live project titled "Climate change adaptation in Odisha" for Dr. Amar Patnaik (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha). His team extensively researched the existing policy initiatives undertaken by the State government of Odisha and presented additional policy suggestions to combat the issue of climate change pertinent to the state. Shivin's areas of expertise include software engineering, testing, web development, natural language processing, machine learning, product management, and technology management roles. He is proficient in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, and Kotlin and has experience working with AI, SQL, Flask, RNN, and integration.
